MFX: MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 8.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…
It’s been a tragic few weeks in pro wrestling with the deaths of both Shad Gaspard and Hanna Kimura. The lads discuss both of these horrible stories, pay tribute to two people who died far too young, and rage against the cowardly trolls that drove a young woman to take her own life.
Thankfully, there’s been some fun pro wrestling shows to distract from these tragic stories and the current dumpster fire that the world is. The lads do a deep dive review of AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV, covering all the matches, all the finishes, and they mark the hell out at the most entertaining match either of them have seen in years – the Stadium Stampede.
There’s a ton of in-ring news items to cover with both WWE and AEW news. The lads discuss the two most recent episodes of The Last Ride documentary on The Undertaker and have a lot to say about this living legend and how he is portrayed.
The show is wrapped up as always with the random retro PPV review. This week it’s peak attitude era as the lads review WWF Over the Edge 1998. Austin v McMahon is incredible. The rest of the show is a mixed bag of terrible matches, weird angles and just general attitude era lunacy. It’s not as great as most people remember, but it’s a damn fun show to watch and review.
As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.
