VS: Episode 258: A Chat with the Nightsweats

What a great episode we have for you today.  First, we are joined by saxophonist, Jeff Dazey.  Jeff has worked with some amazing acts like Frank Turner, Leon Bridges, and is a a key member of the amazing horn section of Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats!    So, as we dove into Jeff’s saxophone origins, his music, playing with Leon Bridges, and how he became a Nightsweat, we were pleasantly surprised to also be joined by bassist, Joseph Pope.  We had such an amazing conversation with the guys about their writing techniques, making art, and what it’s like to open for Willie Nelson and the Rolling Stones.  Truly, one of favorite interviews.

We also discuss Burlew’s new found love of running, Scott’s trying not to bomb while giving a eulogy, and we hear another 5th grade Burlew masterpiece.  Have a listen!
