MFX: MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 7.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back for another to bring you all the big news in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

Turns out when the world is in lockdown and everything slows down, pro wrestling picks up the pace with TONS of news. The lads have got all the big stories covered, with Becky Lynch’s pregnancy announcement, Alberto Del Rio’s arrest and comedian Tom Segura vs. Wrestling fans.

WWE is turning out some great documentaries these days and the lads review the first episode of The Undertaker five part doc and the HHH/Foley doc. Two great looks at three of the biggest stars of our generation. The lads do a deep dive on both and have a ton to say about them.

MITB was a strange show. Another movie style match that while fun, didn’t hit the heights of the WM movie matches. The rest of the show was pretty blah, bar Drew v Seth, which was great. It’s just hard to get into these shows that take place to deathly silence. Still, it’s a fun review of the show!

There’s some in-ring WWE and AEW news covered, including a preview of AEW’s upcoming PPV Double or Nothing. Then it’s time to wrap the show up with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s WWF Summerslam 1991. This is another fun as hell review. Bobby Heenan is amazing on commentary. Mr Perfect v Bret Hart is an amazing match, that was way ahead of its time. Plus we’ve got terrible early 90s gimmicks and finishes, Hogan’s here, so is Warrior, Sid, Macho and other childhood memories. A lot of laughs are had with this show!

As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.
