MFX: MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 10.

Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…

Well. It’s been another terrible week in prowrestling. This time it’s the revelations brought about by the Speaking Out movement on Twitter. Where countless women and men have made allegations of sexual assault, sexual abuse, grooming and other horrible things against numerous wrestlers, trainers, bookers and promoters. Obviously this is a horrible story and our hearts go out to all the victims. The lads discuss this story and hope this is a moment of real change within an industry that really does need to do something about this kind of abuse.

Vince McMahon once again puts money before people as we’ve got news of a COVID-19 outbreak in WWE (what a shock). The lads discuss this, WWE’s reckless behaviour by not testing anyone for COVID-19 while taping TV and shows, Vince’s attitude towards the pandemic and just how ridiculous and negligent the whole story is.

The last episode of the Undertaker documentary has aired. The lads review this, talk all things Taker and wonder if this really is the end of his career with WWE. With Paul Heyman gone from RAW creative, the lads cover this story. Plus Edge v Orton, George getting sunburn and Duckman falling down the stairs!

The show is wrapped up with the Random Retro PPV Review. This week it’s WCW Bash at the Beach 1994 – the first WCW PPV of the Hulk Hogan era. We’ve got weird finishes, clunky matches, awesome promos, Bobby Heenan being amazing and Flair vs. Hogan, which Michael Buffer describes as a match as important and historic as the moon landing. You can’t say WCW didn’t put Hogan over! Plenty of fun to be had and the lads do enjoy stepping back to a time once again. A damn fun review. As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.
