MFX: MFXtra: The Scottish Announce Table – Ep 11.
Duckman and George ‘The Animal’ Peel are back to bring you news and show reviews in the weird world of pro wrestling. It’s a pro wrestling podcast, with a decidedly Scottish flavour. On the show this week…
(We had a few technical issues recording this week, so there’s a few slightly harsh edits early in the show. Sorry about that, shouldn’t cause too many issues when you listen though.)
One of these days we’ll be able to start a show without talking about COVID-19 and all the horror that goes along with it. Unfortunately this isn’t one of these days. Florida is setting all kinds of unwanted COVID records, which the lads discuss and the effect it could have on WWE and AEW. There’s an update on the WWE COVID outbreak and their much delayed response to the situation.
The lads talk WWE purchasing EVOLVE and Rey Mysterio currently working without a contract in WWE. Did you know WWE have a PPV this week that includes a match where someone is going to have their eye pulled out? Yep, we’ve entered peak Wrestle Crap territory here folks. The lads preview The Horror Show at Extreme Rules and wonder just what the hell is going on with this show and WWE’s creative in general.
The lads cover the last couple of weeks of big NXT and AEW shows, they talk all the main matches and angles. There’s plenty of great wrestling and good angles for the lads to discuss here, so it’s a fun chat about four fun shows.
The show is wrapped up as usual with the Random Retro PPV Review and this week we’ve got one of the best PPV shows WWE ever produced – Summerslam 2002. Prime Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio kicks things off with the best ten minute matches you’ll ever see and the show just gets better and better from there. The lads mark out hard for great matches, brilliant characters, awesome booking, amazing story lines, and all the things that WWE used to do so well. It’s a damn fun review of an absolutely brilliant show. So get on it!. As always, thanks for listening. Hope you guys enjoy the show.
